On Thursday morning a woman driving an Aerostar Van attempted to cross Highway 12 near Salkum, made an improper turn and was hit by a log truck.

The driver of the Aerostar Van, Cristen L. Boling, 28, suffered head and internal injuries as a result of the collision. She remains in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center.

The truck driver, Robert Kiser, 37, did not suffer serious injuries as a result of the accident.

In many instances the at-fault driver suffers serious injuries and the driver who was not at-fault is not injured or suffers minor injuries. Even though there is a disparity in injuries, the driver who was not at fault still has claims that should be pursued against the at-fault driver's insurance company. For instance, we have represented a number of truckers who have been involved in head on accidents. While they have not suffered physical injuries, they have suffered PTSD, time loss and property damages.
