An Oak Harbor man died Friday as the result of a car accident south of Oak Harbor on Highway 20. When he was about a mile south of Oak Harbor, he veered to the left and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, according to the State Patrol. While in the southbound lane, he collided with a 2005 Pontiac GTO driven by 63-year-old Silverdale resident Laurine Armstrong.

In accidents like this--where the at-fault driver dies--a claim must be made against the driver's estate. The estate will tender the claim to the driver's insurance company.
