On Monday, November 14, 2005 an Everett woman and her five year-old daughter were struck from behind by a dark pickup while they were walking to school. Situations such as this one illustrate the need to carry the maximum amount of insurance you can afford. Insurance policies contain PIP (Personal Injury Protection) and UIM (Underinsured Motorist) provisions. These provisions will pay for the injured victims' medical treatment and pain when the at-fault party flees the scene or is underinsured.
