The first wave of lawsuits against Princess Cruise Lines have been filed and hundreds more are expected. Some attorneys involved indicate that some passengers may get millions of dollars.

The Crown Princess suddenly tilted 15 degrees to the side for about 30 seconds as it left Port Canaveral on its way to New York. The incident two weeks ago sent objects and people flying across the decks.

There's an entire section called maritime law that directly applies to rules that govern cruise ships and accidents. This is a specialized area of personal injury practice. Questions about cruise ship claims should be directed to an attorney with experience handling cases against companies like Princess Cruise Lines and Holland America.
