Happy Thanksgiving! Or at least it's a happy Thanksgiving for people who still have their jobs. But this Thanksgiving a lot of people have lost their jobs. And even worse, a lot of people haven't been paid by their (former) employers.

Washington has one of the most aggressive wage and hour laws in the country. It allows people to collect double their unpaid wages and the attorney fees and costs they incur in the collection effort.

In Washington unpaid wages can be collected from a former employer. That's no surprise. But what some people don't know is that under Washington law unpaid wages can also be collected from persons at the company that participated in the decision not to pay wages.

This is a very powerful tool. Particularly in difficult economic times.
